recently i've been trying to start painting before i know exactly what i'm going to paint. many times i've had everything planned so well that i've been able to finish the picture within one day and i really love it when it goes that smoothly.
but i guess i'll learn more when the process takes a bit longer and there are some setbacks and then i have to think really carefully what to do next because watercolours are such an unforgiving media. allthough i'm giving myself a break with using white gouche, i think i was beginning to be a little too focused on leaving paper white where there should be white, like in eyeballs. felt like cheating a bit.
I think I need to do the opposite of how you normally work. I usually have no idea what I am doing and it kind of evolves. But then again, lately I haven't made any good art because I start and then get really confused and suddenly stop being very discouraged. Your work has inspired me not only to work again but it pick up my watercolors again as well. Thank you!
wow! i luv their expression, mesmerized. just wondering how this related to seduction... the texture of the clothings are wonderful! so detailed. i can almost feel the touch of the wool of the man's sweater.
